The Access 2 Card is a national program that helps people with permanent disabilities access entertainment, cultural and recreational venues more affordably.
It is run by Easter Seals Canada and accepted at hundreds of participating locations across the country. When you present the card at a venue, the person with the disability pays regular admission and their support person gets free or discounted entry.
Who Qualifies
You qualify if you:
- Live with a permanent disability that affects your ability to attend venues independently, and
- Require a support person to help with things like communication, mobility, personal care or other assistance at venues
- There is no age limit, and the support person must be 18 or older. They do not need to be a professional caregiver
What the Card Covers
-
The card allows a support person to enter for free (or at a reduced rate depending on venue policy) when accompanying the cardholder
-
It applies at movie theatres, museums, zoos, attractions, cultural centres, recreational facilities and other entertainment venues that participate in the program across Canada
