Free outdoor Halloween display

Maisie’s Magical Christmas House isn’t just for Christmas! 🎃 The popular residential display transforms for Halloween with spooky characters, lights and decorations that really come to life after dark.

The display is free to visit, and the organizers recommend seeing it at night when the lights are on.

🎃 Halloween Jack’s — Edmonton

All-ages immersive Halloween experience
📍 Edmonton City Centre West Mall, 10015 102A Ave NW

Halloween Jack’s is an all-ages immersive Halloween experience featuring themed rooms and interactive elements. The attraction includes rooms such as a fluorescent forest, Dracula’s Crypt, a Pumpkin Disco and a Room of 1000 Clowns.

Children 3 and under are free, and strollers cannot go through the experience, although stroller parking is available at the entrance.

🌿 Kiwi’s Haunted House — Acheson

Family-friendly time available

Kiwi Nurseries transforms its trails and growing house into a Halloween attraction with spooky decorations and scares.

Families with younger children can choose the 5:30–6:30 PM family-friendly time, while later time slots offer a more traditional haunted experience.

🏰 Spooky Strathma — Sherwood Park

Spooky family Halloween experience
📍 Strathcona County Museum & Archives

Spooky Strathma returns in 2026 with a medieval-themed Halloween experience at the museum.

The month-long programming includes spooky activities, a museum-wide quest and family Halloween programming.

📅 October 3–31, 2026

This is more of a spooky mystery and Halloween atmosphere than a traditional haunted house, making it a good option for families who aren’t looking for intense scares.


🏚️ Beaumont’s Grimwood Acres Haunted House — Beaumont

Grimwood Acres is a community-built haunted house created through a partnership between the Beaumont 50+ Club, Beaumont & District Agricultural Society and Scouts Canada – Beaumont Group.

🌽 K3 Field of Screams — Tofield

Haunted corn maze
📍 K3 Corn Maze & Family Farm, 19409 Township Road 512, Tofield

When the sun goes down, K3’s corn maze gets a lot scarier.

Field of Screams turns the farm’s corn maze into a nighttime Halloween attraction with creepy characters and surprises waiting around the maze.

K3 confirms that Field of Screams is returning for the 2026 season.

📍 About 45 minutes east of Edmonton

The attraction is not recommended for young children and can be cold, dark and muddy, so dress appropriately for the weather.


🌲 Warwa Woods — Lac Ste. Anne County

Haunted forest experience — ages 12+
📍 Camp Warwa

Warwa Woods returns in 2026 with a new story, The Lady of the Lake.

Guests will explore two different immersive forest trails, with live scares, eerie environments and surprises throughout the woods.

The experience is designed for ages 12+, although younger horror fans may attend with their families.

🕯️ The Haunted Hike — Vegreville

Family-friendly Kids Hour + full-scare experience

About an hour east of Edmonton, The Haunted Hike returns in 2026 with 20 themed rooms, live actors and an updated Halloween experience.

There are two very different ways to experience it:

Recommended for ages 12+

Deadmonton returns in 2026 with three haunted houses for one ticket.

📅 September 25–November 7, 2026

The attraction recommends the experience for ages 12+. Tickets are sold in timed entry windows, and the organizers recommend purchasing online in advance because walk-up admission is subject to capacity.

There are also special events throughout the season, including Date Night on October 2 and Lights Out on November 6 & 7, when guests make their way through the attraction with the lights turned off.


🏚️ DARK at Fort Edmonton Park — Edmonton

Recommended for ages 14+
📍 Fort Edmonton Park, 7000 143 St NW

Fort Edmonton Park gets a very different look after dark.

DARK returns in 2026 with three returning haunts and one brand-new haunt, along with scare zones, entertainment, food and drinks.

📍 Meet at the Strathcona Streetcar Barn & Museum Terminal, 8408 Gateway Blvd

Climb aboard for a one-hour spooky trolley ride over Edmonton’s historic High Level Bridge and through Old Strathcona.

The tour combines local history with stories about ghosts, hauntings and some of the area’s darker history.

The one-hour tour visits locations around Whyte Avenue and is presented as a storytelling experience based on stories from area residents and businesses.

Explore the University of Alberta campus at night while hearing stories about ghosts, mysteries and the darker side of the university’s history.
