Cineplex Clubhouse Theatres – Playtime + Family Movies Edmonton

Did you know? Cineplex has a special child friendly clubhouse theatre with a play area inside the theatre, specifically for families wanting to come to the movies with younger kids.

Where: Cineplex Odeon South Edmonton Cinemas – 1525-99th Street NW, Edmonton

(There’s also one in Calgary!)

What to expect:

• The Clubhouse theatre offers only kid-friendly PG and G rated films 7 days a week
• The auditorium includes: space where kids can climb, explore and even go down a slide!
• Light and sound levels are specially adjusted to make kids more comfortable – it is not as dark or loud as a traditional movie

How it works:

• Get your tickets (with reserved seating!)
• Show up early – arrive up to 45 minutes before your show time: there is 30 minutes of play time before the movie is ready to start
• There is a short time between the end of play & the start of the movie so everyone can get settled into their seats
• Enjoy your movie!

Good to know:

• The play equipment is designed for kids ages 4 to 12
• Children must be accompanied supervised by a parent or guardian at all times
• Socks (but no shoes!) are required in the play area
• Cineplex Clubhouse tickets generally have a $3 surcharge applied to standard admission prices
• The Clubhouse auditorium hosts birthday parties – ask a staff member for details
• Note that the play area will not re open after the movie is over
