What These Clinics Can Do

Pharmacists in the care clinic can assess you for common illnesses and injuries and decide if treatment or medication is needed

They can prescribe medicine on site for a range of minor health issues without needing a doctor’s visit first, where provincial rules allow

They can administer injections such as vaccines in many locations

Clinics are usually located inside or adjacent to the pharmacy counter space in select Shoppers Drug Mart stores

You can walk in without an appointment or book a time online through the Shoppers Health+ system

A pharmacist or clinic staff checks you in, assesses your needs, and if appropriate, writes and fills your prescription right in the store
